Freemed-YiRC - Contact

The term contact refers to a person. In Freemed-YiRC, most basic information about people is stored in the Freemed-YiRC Contact Database module.

In Freemed-YiRC, there are currently four types of contacts:

  • Resident Contact - Originally, Freemed-YiRC was designed for residential care. Therefore, the term client was not used. However, over the years additional functionality was added for the foster/adoptive/respite community, as well as outpatient capabilities. In Freemed-YiRC, the term resident is now synonymous with client.
  • Staff Contact - These are people that are employed by your company. This does not include foster/adoptive/respite parents unless they are employees receiving a paycheck from your agency (with taxes taken out)!
  • Resource Contact - This is a special type of contact reserved for foster/adoptive/respite parents.
  • Standard Contact - Everyone else that you may need to store information about or reference. External doctors, dentists, professionals, the guy who mows the lawn, etc...
