Download Files - What You'll Need
- There are three different methods you may use to get Freemed-YiRC installed and running. YOU ONLY NEED TO FOLLOW ONE OF THESE METHODS!
- METHOD #1: RECOMMENDED - Use Mandriva Linux 2007.1 with the Freemed-YiRC Helper CD (in .ISO format)
- First, you'll need to download and install Mandriva Linux 2007.1. It is very big, it does not fit on one CD. In fact, it no longer fits on three CDs, so now it comes as a DVD image. This means you will need a DVD burner to create the install DVD if you intend to download it. You will also need a DVD reader drive on the machine you intend to install Freemed-YiRC. You can also choose to support Mandriva Linux and purchase a boxed edition.
- Second, you'll need to download the Freemed-YiRC Helper CD:
- Freemed-YiRC Helper CD for Mandriva Linux 2007.1 (.ISO - INCLUDES FMYiRC V1.00!!!): fmyirc-mdv20071setup_20071212.iso (20MB)
- For this method, please refer to the Freemed-YiRC V1.00 MDV2007.1 Installation Manual
- METHOD #2: - Use Mandriva Linux 2007.1 with the Freemed-YiRC Helper CD (in .tar.gz format)
- This method is similar to the METHOD #1. However, this method uses the Freemed-YiRC Helper CD in .tar.gz Linux compressed archive format. If you are not familiar with what this means, then you should be using METHOD #1
- Freemed-YiRC Helper CD for Mandriva Linux 2007.1 (.tar.gz - INCLUDES FMYiRC V1.00!!!): fmyirc-mdv20071setup_20071212.tar.gz (20MB)
- For this method, please refer to the Freemed-YiRC V1.00 MDV2007.1 Installation Manual
- METHOD #3: - USE ONLY IF YOU ARE HIGHLY FAMILIAR WITH LINUX! - If you are using a version of Linux other than Mandriva Linux 2007.1, or you do not wish to use the Helper CD
- This file can be installed on nearly any version of Linux provided the necessary requirements are met. This will require a large amount of effort, including many external packages, to get Freemed-YiRC working.
- freemed_yirc-V1.00.tar.gz (0.7MB)
- For this method, please refer to the Freemed-YiRC V1.00 Standard Installation Manual
- METHOD #1: RECOMMENDED - Use Mandriva Linux 2007.1 with the Freemed-YiRC Helper CD (in .ISO format)
Documentation
Please see the Documentation page! In addition to the Installation Manual for the chosen method above.
